Metabolic Weight Loss
Why Can’t I Lose Weight?
There are many reasons why people have difficulty, or simply can’t, lose weight. What if you’ve been doing all the right things and you STILL can’t shed the excess pounds?
Now What? Metabolic Syndrome
Metabolic syndrome is a name for a group of risk factors that occur together and increase the risk for coronary artery disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Metabolic syndrome is becoming more and more common, epidemic even, in the United States. Researchers are not sure whether the syndrome is due to one single cause, but all of the syndrome’s risk factors are related to obesity, and it is associated with many conditions and risk factors. The two most important risk factors are central obesity (weight around your mid-section) and insulin resistance (pre-diabetes or diabetes). Other risk factors include: reactive hypo-glycemia, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, high cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol aging, genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, and lack of exercise.
Our Approach to Weight Loss and Metabolic Syndrome
Whatever the cause of your excess weight, this program will address it. Our program helps people achieve normal metabolic levels and assists in the elimination of central body fat and fast weight loss. Research and studies have identified three issues that cause people to gain fat storage and slow metabolism.
First, We Must Address the Stomach Issues
Many patients experience stomach issues like bloating after meals, heart burn or acid reflux. One or more of these symptoms are indicates that the stomach is not digesting food properly. Stomach issues are the most common cause of weight gain. Many patients experience stomach issues like bloating after meals, heart burn or acid reflux. One or more of these symptoms are indicates that the stomach is not digesting food properly. Stomach issues are the most common cause of weight gain.
The stomach digests food so the nutrients can enter the blood. Certain nutrients are more diffcult digest. The liver requires many of these “difficult to digest” chemicals during the process of body fat removal (lypolysis). You can now see how a person with a digestive issue may no longer have the ability to lose weight. Unfortunately, a good diet and healthy eating does not restart or repair the digestive function. This is the reason many patients state that they are eating healthy and restricting calories, yet unable to lose weight. What is even more discouraging is that doctors often do not believe that a patient is restricting calories or exercising when they fail to lose weight regardless of what the patient tells them.
The bad news is, once the issue occurs, it’s there to stay. The good news is, we have found a way to stabilize digestive function allowing patients to begin restoring metabolism and losing weight within 3 days from the start of our program.
Not all metabolic patients, but most, have one or more digestive symptoms including: constipation, diarrhea, gas, acid reflux or heart burn, bloating, indigestion and other digestive problems. Our diet program and supplement regimen addresses all of these issues.
The Second Issue Occurs in the Intestines
The condition is seldom detected by medical professionals and symptoms are usually misdiagnosed as stomach problems, ulcers, acid reflux celiac disease or irritable bowel syndrome. However, the underlying issue appears to be a mal-absorption problem caused by sensitivity to certain foods. Our physicians estimate that this reaction occurs as a result of the stomach issues mentioned above. It has been speculated that undigested food enters into the intestines causing irritation. The intestine then closes off access points that guide certain nutrients into the blood. This results in a deficiency in these nutrients that are used in maintaining proper metabolism.
You will be given nutraceuticals to restore normal nutrient levels and boost energy.
Lastly, the Metabolism Itself
As nutrients become less and less available, the body begins to conserve energy. This results in a change in metabolism (the way the body burns fuel and fat.) Change in metabolism, such as the body increasing fat storage, is a process that occurs so the body can survive. This is why exercise and dieting become less effective with time. In actuality, a person with a metabolism issue is causing more problems by exercising and dieting. The reason is because the body is surviving on a limited supply of nutrients. Exercise and diet force the body to become even more conservative with these nutrients and fat. This is why many people experience even faster and more dramatic weight gain after coming off an exercise program or diet.
Our program utilizes a sublingual form of the hormone HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) which is a fat mobilizer. With the correct diet, HCG helps burn stored central (from hips, waist and thighs) body fat for fuel while also suppressing the appetite. HCG is also thought to re-set the hypothalamus, thus re-setting your metabolism, so there is no need to take the hormone long-term. Once you reach your goal weight, its use is discontinued.
All aspects of our program are geared toward promoting only fat loss and teaching good nutrition and portion control for changes that will last a lifetime.
